Why Revisit the Parables? The parables of Jesus are some of the most famous stories ever told, yet they are often the most misunderstood. We frequently treat them as simple moral fables, but in their original Synoptic contexts (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), they were radical, subversive, and deeply tied to social justice and the "Great Reversal" of the Kingdom of God.
